Confidentiality & Privacy

One of the key legal obligations and ethical priorities of mental health professionals is ensuring and protecting the confidentiality and personal data of clients.

Except for specific exceptions, therapists are legally bound to keep the content of sessions confidential, while sharing information with other professionals takes place only with the client’s informed consent and agreement.

In my practice, confidentiality is ensured through:

  • Electronic storage of personal data
  • GDPR-compliant CRM system
  • Client name coding
  • Encrypted telehealth sessions
  • Client portal accessible with personal credentials
  • Consent forms for communication with other professionals
